Site down due to Termination by Amazon.com

No Warning, Just Termination

Made the mistake of not confirming the software purchased from the seller was 100% compliant with the Amazon.com Operating Agreement that governs our participation in the Associates Program.

WARNING  NEVER ASSUME  Regardless of the reputation of the seller or what you read on their sales page(s) or in their forums or hear from them directly; it would be a good idea to confirm compliance with Amazon before purchase.

Yes, I realize that 'Dime Sales' may cost you more in the long run if you wait but... Is it better to purchase at $17 (or less) and possibly lose all that you have worked for in the last year or two or buy at $67 or more and know that you did the right thing by confirming with Amazon first what you are purchasing is in fact compliant.

I've seen numerous posts refering to Google being a bad guy and not working with their affiliates to fix problems. I have to state now that working with the Google Affiliate department was a pleasure in comparison to Amazon.

Amazon has a help desk 'Sort Of'. Unfortunately it is for customers, not affiliates. Maybe I just didn't call the right number but I was never able to talk directly with anyone in the affiliate department. I talked to the help desk and they would send an email to the affiliate department. Then the affiliate department would send me an email. By the way, non of the email received, contained a reply address. Another unfortunate fact is I have no idea what the help desk said in their email to the affiliate department.

Another unfortunate fact was, I was never given the opportunity to fix the problem. At least with Google, they told me what was wrong, I fixed it and we moved on.
Not so with Amazon!

Although Amazon finally told me which site had the problem I still don't know specifcally what was wrong as it was not fully explained by Amazon. I don't know; maybe I just can't see the forest; with all of the trees in the way. The software used the Amazon API to get the reviews and display them. ---
